Support Worker
Northallerton - Various Hours Available
£11.05 per hour, plus £1 extra per hour weekend enhancement
Boroughbridge Road is a lovely bungalow situated in Northallerton. Currently we have 2 individuals that live here. They both love going on public transport and day trips, meeting friends, cooking, listening to music and holidays!
Our individuals are very active and enjoy spending days out and about doing activities such as, gardening, watching horse racing, attending Learning and Development groups, to volunteering in the local charity shop. One of the individuals is also a huge football fan and often enjoys watching the matches when they are on TV.
Boroughbridge Road is a slower paced house environment offering 1:1 care and support. Our individuals are quite independent but need a bit more support doing certain tasks.
We are always looking for different experiences for the individuals we support so they live extraordinary lives filled with opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll be involved in the amazing hobbies and activities our individuals love to do
- Assist with meal preparation and medication management
- Support individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Accompany individuals to appointments and community activities
- Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to appropriate staff members
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided
- Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Requirements:
- A compassionate and caring nature
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to undergo relevant training and development
